Artist's Statement

I make large, colorful mosaics of one half inch clay tiles. The mosaics are large and are originally designed by computer. They are have a combination of photographs and drawings, and the juxtaposition of people, places and things have an edge of humor and social commentary. Some of the murals have been made for one percent for the arts programs and some are in private homes. They are extremely durable and are reminiscent of classic mosaics from Pompeii and other ancient sites.These mosaics are just as lasting and will not be affected by humidity or other adverse conditions
