Artist's Statement

Jane Chakravarthy Visual artist and Poet
“There is no art without living, for being without the microscope of the mind, the understanding from the heart, and the embrace of the fire from the soul, for me, there is no life, only an existence.
Jane primarily uses abstract imagery, metaphor, symbolism and irony to express in her art :
"I rarely have a preconceived notion of what I will write or paint. My creativity comes from exposure to life situations or vicariously, from other people. I focus my energy to create images or scenes, which then allow me to purge and effect a tangible expression; something I feel connected to. My expression; creating my art, is a spiritual catharsis for me. I strive to let free my woes, to celebrate my oneness, and embrace our collective consciousness."
