Artist's Statement

My work deals with the universal themes of connection, nature, home, family, inner strength and love. Through the use of wax, wire, metal, paint and fibers I explore these themes within the context of the connection of all things, creature and the natural world itself, using organic shapes and echoing shapes found in nature, such as the spiral of the nautilus shell. My work encourages viewers to look past the surface, at the world, at themselves, at each other, and see those things that so often go unseen.
