Artist's Statement

In some paintings the subject matter is derived from walks I have taken where I observed the joining of two separate things – wood flooring meeting concrete flooring, oil mixing with water on asphalt, and metal riveted to metal. Others are old, well used everyday objects that have been used abused and discarded.
