Suzanne is a multi-media, research based, intuitive artist. Working in arrays, series include; abstract oil paintings, encaustic paintings, a photography collaboration, paper, wood & found object constructions, and hand crocheted beaded jewelry.

Subject matter includes; women lost in history's telling, immigration, mapping & travel, and elegant, precise, mathematical and scientific formulas to explain obscurities.

The encaustic work is layers of fused beeswax, oil paint, vintage encyclopedia pages, and probable histories.
The paper mache figurative sculptures are also formed from vintage papers and are actual historic 'composites' informed by humor and local Somerville research.
The importance of vibrant color and texture come into play with the paintings as well as the glass beaded crochet jewelry.

Suzanne has a MA. of Education in Creative Arts in Education from Lesley University, B.A. from University of Mich., certificate from the graduate degree program at U. of Wisc. in ceramics, has studied in France, Germany, participated in many workshops such as at Haystack in Maine and Castle Hill in Truro on Cape Cod and takes ongoing classes at the SMFA, MassArt, and Cambridge Adult Ed.
