I am fed by my consistent interest in psychology (specifically why people think, feel, and behave the way they do), and by fashion and celebrity portrait photography. I am also influenced by the pop culture that saturates every day life, such as music videos, television sitcoms and dramas, movies, and magazines. When creating my own art, I often draw from the visuals of extreme lighting and drastic colors, along with intense emotion, which are often included in pop culture mediums. I use these influences to inspire my own photographs of friends and family, which then become the source material for my paintings and screenprints. |
