I approach the making of my art from an intuitive place. In each piece that I create I am searching for those images that represent a mythological understanding to the human condition. The ideas for the range of image come from a mixture of classical myths, indigenous art and popular culture. My work juxtaposes the common place with the impossible thus creating a theatrical production of ideas. They the are poems, day dreams and memories that run through all our lives. I work in assemblages and collages as a way to utilize found objects and pictures that are common to all viewers. |
