For as long as I can remember, I have loved making jewelry. Over the years I have experimented with different styles, from making my own cleay beads to metalsmithing. In 2011, I discovered chainmaille jewelry. I was fascinated by the look of it and decided to try it out. Before long I was hooked and I haven't stopped since! I am primarily a self-taught jewelry. I have learned chainmaille from reading books and watching instructional videos. The majority of my formal training in jewelry-making includes jewelry metalsmithing classes at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education under the guidance of Laurie Savage (2011-current). My work has changed immensely over the past several years, and now focuses on sterling silver pieces that incorporate hand-forged findings, accents, and focal pieces. I strive toward making conscientious jewelry through using primarily recycled sterling silver, and by giving a proceed of sales from select pieces to various nonprofits.
