I am drawn to making landscapes which are both emotionally mysterious and familiar by using snippets of language, directions and movements. I believe in trying to represent a shared thread of similar common memories that all of us have and hold and shape how we see and feel our place within the world.

I have been painting since I was young and hold bachelor degrees in Fine Arts and Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. I am a past adjunct Professor of Perspective and Orthogonal Drawing at the Boston Architectural College and am a registered and practicing architect. I moved to Somerville ten years ago and this will be my first Somerville Open Studios!
