Intrigued by watercolors’ unpredictable nature, I attempt to create a visual rhythm through textures and color. I approach the medium with a sense of play and discovery. When I work with watercolor I am reminded that losing control can yield interesting results. Each paint stroke can lead to an unexpected turn on the paper. The intricate pattern and organic shapes that spring from the finished pieces provide a tranquil, and complex landscape. I strive to generate balance and harmony though interesting patterns and forms, discovering new playful configurations with shape and color. |
