Courtney Chelo works in Boston as a public health policy advocate by day and makes art in her home studio in Somerville by night. In her work, she combines traditional collage, image transfers, block printing, and embroidery with her many obsessions: old books, paper planes, vintage photographs, origami cranes, maps, wood, bones, birds, anatomy, and more to explore the line between the whimsical and bittersweet. |
